Cookie policy
Cookies
Short version: we don't track you. Here's exactly what this site keeps in your browser, and why.
Last updated 1 October 2026.
What we use
This site sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies, and it doesn't use any third-party tracking. The only things it stores are small settings in your own browser, listed below. They never leave your device and we can't see them.
| Name | Type | What it does | Category | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ihk-consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page. | Essential | Until you clear it |
theme | Local storage | Remembers light or dark mode, if you pick one. | Preference | Until you clear it |
ihk-docs-v1 | Local storage | Remembers which items you ticked on the documents checklist. | Preference | Until you clear it |
Maps
Our maps use tiles from OpenStreetMap. Loading them sends a normal web request to OpenStreetMap's servers, as loading any image does, but they set no cookies.
The quote form
When you send the quote form, the details you type go to My Car Import so we can write your quote. That is covered by My Car Import's privacy policy, not by cookies.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything listed above.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics, they will only run if you say yes, and they will be listed on this page first.
